Go beyond basic intarsia to explore knitting intarsia patterns in the round. Plus, pick up tips for keeping your yarns organised, maintaining tension, calculating yarn needs and more.
You will leave this class able to knit intarsia motifs into socks and other knit in the round projects. You will get a pattern to practise your acquired skills.
We will use circular needles throughout the workshop, but you may modify to suit your preferred method for knitting in the round.
Skills required
Advanced beginner / Intermediate
This workshop is suitable for advanced beginner+/intermediate knitters who can cast on, cast/bind off, knit, purl, rib, knit in the round. Some experience with basic intarsia and working from charts will be helpful, but not required.
Materials required
Please bring:
At least 4 different colours of DK yarn (approx. 10-20g of each colour)
2 x gauge size knitting needles (straight or circular)
a ruler
pencil/pen
tapestry needle
cable needle
scissors
