We'll cover sizing, layout, construction, yardage, neck lines, cuffs, hems & using partial motifs and short rows to help with shaping. Using the student's own swatch and body measurements, we'll work through a series of worksheets to plan out their custom design.

Skills required

Students should be confident with basic crochet techniques such as dc(UK)/sc(US), tr(UK)/dc(US), slip stitching, chaining and counting stitches.

Materials required

To complete the process, students need to bring a washed, blocked and dried swatch of 4 granny squares made with 5 rounds in DK, joined in the last round using the instructions provided here.

❗️Important : to facilitate the course process, please make your motifs exactly as per the instructions. Of course, once you have mastered the process, you can then use almost any motif to create your sweater design.
